Farm Poverty in Australia

Farm poverty in Australia is a relatively neglected are of public policy. The extent and nature of farm poverty has not been measured since the 1970s and government responses to the problem have been framed in terms of agricultural policy rather than as a welfare response. Linda Botterill is investigating a range of policy options in relation to farm poverty which deliver appropriate and equitable support to poor farmers
